Francesco Barbaria was born in Rome 25th March 1984.
He graduated from Sapienza University of Rome in 2008 in Computer Engineering with a specialization in Software Engineering.
After two years spent in Ernst & Young Financial Business Advisors as a consultant for IT audit and processes, he moved to Selex Sistemi Integrati (now Leonardo) as a System Engineer, SESAR project manager and product responsible for the FDP subsystem of the Leonardo ATM solution.
In 2014 he moved to the technical proposal unit where he had the responsibility of the preparation of several technical proposals related to projects and R&D programs, including the UTM aspects.
Since 2016 he is Sales Manager responsible for the Italian customer in the ATM domain and he is the Leonardo commercial responsible for the UTM domain both at national and international level.
The presentation will describe the activities done by Leonardo in implementing U-Space services. In particular, starting from the current scenario and challenges in the drones traffic management, we’ll describe the peculiarities and the pillars of such system, including the description of how the U-Space services will be implemented in the Italian environment.
